This statement from our President has been released to clarify proposals put forward ahead of our AGM which is being held this Saturday (22^nd June) starting at 1.30pm at the Scottish Sprint weekend.

We’re always happy to celebrate volunteers who help make orienteering across Scotland brilliant, and today we’re saying thank you to FVO’s Steve Scott and finding out why “every club should have a Steve!”

The Steering Group for the Sprint World Orienteering Championships 2022 has announced that Paul McGreal has been appointed as Event Director. Paul is well known to many as the Event Director who helped stage the successful World Orienteering Championships in 2015.

In early May the Scotland team headed to the World Schools Championships Orienteering in Otepää, Estonia, and you can now read the full, detailed reports written by Angus Ivory and Iris MacMillan.

The deadline for entries for this year’s Sprint Scotland is this Sunday 16th June – so orienteers are encouraged to sign up fast for one of the summer’s key orienteering events.

An impressive 110 Junior orienteers from all over Scotland converged on Kingussie on Sunday 9^th June for the Jamie Stevenson competition – the annual junior inter-club competition, where juniors from all Scottish clubs battle it out for their club to be crowned champions.

Entries for the 28 June JOK Chasing Sprint at Callendar Park – which will be broadcast live on BBC TV – close on Thursday 13 June – so orienteers are encouraged to enter online now!
