Celebrating volunteers – a festive start

We were off to a festive start as we celebrate Volunteer Week (1st -7th June 2022).

Thanks to the Volunteer team behind the scenes we have had a great Scottish Schools Orienteering Festival. Planner Roger Scrutton(ESOC) put on courses that made the most of a constrained area. Lorna Young (TINTO) efficiently handled the entries and kept things moving forward whilst Blair Young(TINTO) controlled the event and kept everything on track.

Volunteer Week 2022

It’s that time of year again when we celebrate the terrific contribution to the sport of our wonderful volunteers.  Without all your contributions large and small the sport would not function. So, here’s a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who volunteered over the course of the year.  We want to acknowledge in particular at this time all those who stepped in to act as Covid Officers keeping our sport safe and whilst on the subject of keeping members safe, our Club Welfare and Protection Officers, who often go unsung.  The volunteers featured over the course of the week are those that have been nominated but we hope it goes without saying that every volunteer is appreciated.

Closing soon….Scottish Schools Entries

Remember to enter this years Scottish Schools Orienteering Festival. Closing date 23rd May!

This years event is being held within the stunning grounds of Scone Palace, by Perth on Wednesday 1st June.

The venue will be familiar to some from previous sprint events and schools festivals.
