On reflection of the guidance provided to us by sportscotland for ‘beyond level 0’ which came into affect on 16th August and on balance of the current national figures for Covid in Scotland we have taken the decision at this time to not amend our existing guidance. However there have been some changes to the events risk assessment which is published below. We will be running a covid officer question and answer session on 9th September for clubs to air their views and ask any questions relating to guidance or risk assessments currently in place or provide their input into the next steps.
Selections will be made in early September for the Scottish teams to compete at the upcoming Junior Inter-Regional Champs (25-26 Sep 2021) and Junior Home Internationals (9-10 Oct 2021), as well as the 2021-22 Scottish Junior squad.

We have young leaders who help out with schools and clubs, youngsters who participate in squads, those who perform on the world stage and those who turn up and do what is asked of them without a fuss.
Last week saw a highly successful Scottish 6 Day event being staged in Lochaber, despite the many uncertainties, challenges and difficulties that had to be overcome in the lead up to the event. Big shout out for everyone who played a part in making it happen!
We are aware of the changes to Covid restrictions beyond Level 0 that came into effect this morning and Scottish Orienteering guidelines and risk assessment templates will therefore be reviewed. However, due to staff annual leave it may be the week beginning 16th August before we are able to publish our next guidance.
