All competitors shall be either a National or Local Member of British Orienteering, or a member of an IOF affiliated Federation
Competition Rules
NOTE: BOF 2012 membership status. Please pay the fee that you expect will match your BOF national/local membership status at Easter. This will allow a check just prior to Easter of fees paid versus membership status as recorded in BOF records. Any under-payment of JK fees will be collected in cash at Registration.
It can take several days for British Orienteering membership renewals to filter through to the entries database, so ensure that you have renewed in plenty of time before the deadline.
IOF membership refers to membership of a national orienteering federation that is affiliated to the IOF.
The Junior entry fees are applicable to all juniors aged under 20 on 1 January 2012. Students are also eligible for the Junior entry fees, regardless of age class, but may be asked for proof of student status.
Late entries after 11th March 2012 may be accepted by the Entries Secretary ( jk2012entries@scottish-orienteering.org ) but will depend on map availability.
Entries for the Colour Coded Courses will not be accepted after 11th March 2012, but competitors can take part by entering on the day, subject to the availability of sufficient maps.
Entry Fees - Important notice to competitors
We advised you on the Entry Form that a check on BOF membership status would be made immediately prior to Easter. In the past few days it has come to light that the SiEntries software instead uses continually updated information on CURRENT BOF membership status to calculate fees payable. Unsurprisingly, this different methodology produces different answers in some circumstances. We are trying to identify such cases to ensure that no-one who follows the guidance given on the Entry Form is dis-advantaged. We urge anyone who may be concerned by this situation to check whether the fees actually paid match what they were expecting to pay. If they do not, please provide details to jk2012entries@scottish-orienteering.org. Thanks for your attention

The 2015 World Orienteering Championships will be based in Inverness, Scotland during August, and will utilise the world class terrain along the Moray coast and in the Cairngorms National Park. The Scottish 6 Days will run in parallel to the Championships and will bring 5000 competitors to the area boosting the local economy by an estimated £2 million.
To celebrate 50 years of the Scottish Orienteering Association we are organising various activities including the opportunity to complete 50 events in the course of the year (16 April 2011 to 15 April 2012). The JK may just help you complete the challenge.
