World Orienteering Week

Well it’s that time of year again and World Orienteering Week will soon be upon us. Any event between 16th and 24th of May can be registered on the WOW website.

The International Orienteering Federation´s goals regarding the organisation of this annual event are as follows:
Increasing the visibility and accessibility of orienteering to young people; increasing the number of participants both in the schools’ activities, as well and in club activities in all countries of National Federations; helping teachers to implement orienteering in a fun and educational way and to get more new countries to take part in orienteering.

Taking part as a school team

All it needs to count is courses for young people – be it a taster, a schools event / activity or a club event with junior courses. So far we have one event registered in Scotland. Let’s make it more and have lots of happy smiling faces of young people having fun at ‘O’ events.
