The British Schools Orienteering Championships are coming to Scotland – Entries now open!
We’re very excited to share the news that the British Schools Orienteering Championships are coming to Scotland this year, hosted by Edinburgh Southern Orienteering Club – and ENTRIES ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!

This is the biggest schools’ event on the orienteering calendar – a chance for pupils from across the UK to test their navigation skills, speed, and stamina against each other. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already a seasoned map-reader, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
📍 Where & When?
Hopetoun House, Edinburgh will be the host venue on Sunday 16th November. Expect a fantastic location, exciting courses, and that unbeatable atmosphere of hundreds of young orienteers all taking on the challenge together.
💡 Who Can Enter?
The championships are open to any school child from P5 up to S6, although younger competitors may enter if they can competently complete a White course by themselves. There will be prizes for school teams and individuals. Teachers, parents and club coaches – now’s the time to get your teams organised!
