Sprints in the Roxburgh sunshine

For some the 2025 Scottish Sprint Championship and 3rd Scottish Orienteering Urban League (SOUL) event of the year was the first weekend of the Easter Holidays and for others it was a delightful taste of Vitamin sunshine paired with a pair of Urban brain teasers.

Roxburgh Reivers welcomed us to Tweedbank for some delightful urban orienteering and a double dose of fun with both the Scottish Sprint Championships in the morning and the 3rd SOUL of 2025 in the afternoon. Tweedbank was the very first urban orienteering area mapped by Roxburgh Reivers in 1989 and proved to be a hidden gem for those discovering it for the first time. Since 1989 there have been a lot more houses constructed and of course the railway has returned!

The planner hope to catch people out after they had become complacent or started too hard and so it proved. Hopefully everyone thought it was a journey worth taking and well done to those who reached the podium and gathered local delicacies as prizes.
