Scottish Orienteering pull together for successful JK2026

Massive congratulations to the Scottish orienteering community for coming together to host a hugely successful JK over the Easter weekend.  

With all the complications of a closed road event in Perth city centre on a bank holiday, followed by the stunning but challenging locations of Rannoch Forest and Tullochroisk on successive days.  The many months of preparation by our Planners, Controllers and Organisers were put to the test in the most demanding of circumstances as Storm Dave blew in bringing rain, hail and snow.  

An event this size needs over 500 volunteer roles to fill over the four days of competition. We really needed all our Scottish clubs to rise to the occasion, and you responded magnificently!  We were also very grateful for some willing volunteers from English clubs to fill our rosters. 

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it happen no matter how small. We hope that you made some new friends from other clubs, whilst you were all playing your part in creating a memorable event for our visitors from home and abroad.
