Faskally Woods & Pitlochry will host the Scottish Score championships on Sunday 1 September, with STAG hosting the event.

Six Scottish juniors have headed to Denmark for the Junior World Orienteering Championships which start this Sunday.

Mar Orienteering Club’s Jon Musgrave was awarded the 2019 Scottish Orienteering Association President’s Medal at the SOA AGM in Bo’Ness on 22 June, for his outstanding achievements organising orienteering events in Scotland.

Alice Wilson (Clyde), Lizzie Stansfield (FVO) , Rachel Brown (ESOC) and Matthew Gooch (MAROC) represented Scotland on the last weekend in June as the first junior international orienteering competition of the year took place in Belarus.

On Friday 28 June, Callendar Park near Falkirk hosted the UK’s first ever orienteering event to be broadcast live, as The Adventure Show showed the JOK Chasing Sprint live on a beautiful summer evening, giving a fantastic introduction to the sport.

You can now watch Scotland’s first orienteering event to be broadcast on live TV on catch-up, after BBC Scotland’s “The Adventure Show” broadcast the coverage on the evening of Friday, 28 June.

Scottish Orienteering’s quarterly magazine, SCORE, is in search of a new Editor to take over after the September issue. As current Editor, Sheila Reynolds, approaches three years as Editor, she has decided it’s time for her to hand over to someone else for the next leg.
