SOA launches Silver Accreditation for orienteering clubs
The Silver level of the Scottish Orienteering Accreditation Scheme builds on what’s been achieved in Bronze and adds in a few new elements to further develop as a club. Scottish orienteers claim wins in Veteran Home Internationals 2018

Scottish Juniors win Junior Inter Regional Championships 2018
Congratulations to the Scottish Juniors (M/W 14-18) who travelled to Chatsworth and Carsington Pastures to comfortably win the JIRC, beating NWOA and YHOA and other squads from across the country.
Green Cake & Goodbyes for Rona & Hilary

New operations team meets for first time
The new Operations Team led by Keith Roberts had their inaugural meeting in Edinburgh and thanks go to the Competitions Coordinator (Mark Nixon), Fixtures Secretary (Paul Caban) and Sally Lindsay (Trophies Coordinator) for their input. Staff member Colin Matheson was also present.
Launch of Scottish Orienteering Young Leader (SOYL)
A group of 9 young leaders aged 14-18 were led through the SOYL course by tutor, Mehmet. The course was a good balance of theory and practical to engage the young leaders. Our first group of young leaders represent 4 different clubs and a diverse geography from the Borders to the Highlands.

Highs and lows for Scotland SHI team in Lancashire
The Scottish senior team gathered over 8th-9th September for the annual international match against Wales, Ireland and England. The venue this year was Hurstwood near Burnley in Lancashire.
