Northern event sees movement in the Inter Club Champs rankings

The 6th event of the 2025 Scottish Inter Club Championships saw Inverness Orienteering Club (INVOC) host a regional event in the delights of the Carse of Ardersier on 29th June. This left it open to the northern clubs to gain points to allow them to make a move on those clubs slightly further south.

In the senior large club table it allowed both INVOC and Moravian Orienteering Club (MOR) to rack up some points and are within touching distance of Interlopers Orienteering Club (INT) in third place. Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO) retain the top spot with Edinburgh Southern Orienteering Club lying in second.

In the senior small clubs table distance to the event and university holidays meant there was no change at the top with St Andrew’s Orienteering Club Glasgow (STAG) retaining their lead and Edinburgh University Orienteering Club (EUOC) lying in second place. Badenoch and Strathspey Orienteering Club (BASOC) and Grampian Orienteering Club (GRAMP) however gained some good points from the INVOC event with BASOC overtaking Ayrshire Orienteering Club (AYROC) and gaining on Roxburgh Reivers (RR) and Tayside Orienteering Club (TAY).

In the junior large clubs table INVOC Juniors in second place made some ground on FVO who still retain the lead but the gap is closing!

In the junior small clubs table there was little change to the line up as it was too far to travel/ summer holidays for most clubs but it was great to see BASOC make their way onto the table.
