Mentoring Workshops
Our wonderful sport relies heavily on volunteers who have built up loads of experience over the years in a multitude of roles – coaching, officiating at events, serving on the committee, running SI, organising weekends away and generally helping out. All of you who do these jobs have a lot to pass onto new people coming into those roles. Working with experienced volunteers complements the training that formal courses provide and is a vital part in ensuring succession on the volunteer front.

To provide experienced volunteers in all fields the skills to pass on their knowledge and train new volunteers, sportscotland run mentoring workshops. These fascinating, interactive workshops cover the following areas and are being provided online, free of charge over 2 evenings – 20th and 27th March.
- What mentors do
- Mentoring approaches
- Importance of developing and understanding of your mentee and their environment
- Mentoring tools
- Personal strengths and areas for development
- Peer support
Please sign up using the registration form by Monday 3rd March or contact Suzanne with any questions
