Could you be our new Coaching and Volunteer Officer?
Do you have a passion for coaching and developing a volunteer workforce?
Our current Coaching and Volunteer Officer, Suzanne Robins Bird, is retiring in March and we are seeking a new Coaching and Volunteer Officer to take over the planning and delivery of our annual volunteer development programme for coaches, event officials, volunteers and club officials.

This role makes a vital contribution to delivering the Scottish Orienteering Strategy through building the skills and capacity needed to promote and develop orienteering in Scotland. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, whether putting on events, introducing new members to the sport or providing fulfilling lifelong opportunities for club members.
The role funded through our SportScotland grant and is a 3 days a week role. The role could however be carried out in conjunction with either or both of the SEDS Co-ordinator Role and/or the delivery of TD3/4 training for young adults at SEDS weekends for which we have funding.
Applications are sought by 31st January 2026 and a detailed job description can be found below. Please contact Nikki Howard via nikki@scottish-orienteering.org with any queries or to express your interest in the role.
