Organisers’ workshops autumn/winter 2025/26
We are always looking for ways to help you – our hardworking volunteers – and one of our offerings is organisers’ courses. Organising can be something that folk find off putting due the seeming enormity of the task. If you would like to help your club by organising an event but don’t know where to start then one of our organisers’ courses is the right place.
Nigel Money, who had no experience of organising before coming on Organising Demystified, had the following to say:
“I have organised and planned a couple of local events since the course and can say that it was extremely useful. Doing the planning and organising is quite a lot and I think I would have found it completely overwhelming if I had not done the course. Not to mention the fact that I would definitely have missed lots of things to do making it more stressful.
I found that the course covered much of the detail that helped me have a plan in place for setting the event up – knowing how I wanted to get people to the start and back from the finish etc.
In addition, I have planned a regional event since and the organiser course also helped with this. Knowing what the organiser needed to know was also very helpful. I hope the organiser would say the same!”
This last sentiment is echoed by Kevin Harding who is mainly a Planner
“Where the course has been useful is in taking account of organisers considerations in the location of the start and finish.”
The courses we have on offer this autumn / winter are as follows:
Organising Demystfied – ( Adults)
What: 2 x 1.25 hour online workshops with simple club based tasks in between.
When: 6th Oct & 3rd Nov 2025

Young Organiser’s Assistant – Juniors (16 +)
What: 2 x 1.25 hour online workshops tailored for juniors ( 16 + ) who wish to get involved in organising. There will be club based, mentored practical tasks to be completed between the workshops.
