FVO spoil us with a new forest area and Tea and Cakes in Limeriggs
Issues with permissions might have meant that we headed for Airdrie for our 2nd Scottish Orienteering League (SOL) event of the year instead of the Trossachs but it didn’t mean we had any less fun! Forth Valley Orienteers rose to the last minute restriction of permissions in the Trossachs to bring us a new area at Limeriggs. The planner went as far as to say it had Swedish parts and while only some may have travelled far enough to reach them there was plenty to challenge.

The local community had also put out the welcome mat with plentiful supplies of cakes to refuel (or even pre fuel!) and tea or juice to wash them down! So when combined with a ScotJOS second hand jigsaw stall and the new map of Limerigg to discuss the hall the volume of chatter within the hall was making the locals smile.

Many thanks to all the Forth Valley Orienteers who made the day possible and especially to Andy Llewellyn for organising, Paul Hammond for planning and Fran Loots (TAY) for controlling in such a short timescale.
All results can be found on the FVO website and the current standings in the SOL League can be found on the Scottish Orienteering League page
The next SOL of the season is on 7th September in Hartside HIll, East Lothian with East Lothian Orienteers hosting.
