SUMMARY:Coaching Foundation (CF/23_1) – Blended learning
DESCRIPTION:An initial\, unassessed course for orienteers who are interested in coaching.  This course will give you the basics and get you on the pathway to becoming a coach. Also useful for qualified coaches in need of a refresher. \nRun mostly online\, with a practical club supported element\, this course will be held over 4 sessions. Sessions 1\, 2 & 4 – 1.5 hrs online weekday evenings\, session 3 – club based self-evaluated practical session. Dates for the online sessions are w/b 9th Jan\, 16th Jan & 30th Jan .  Practical session in week 3 by negotiation with club mentor. \nCost: \n£50 per person (non-members £75) \nMin/Max. \n4/8 \nCourse Content: \nDiscussion around what to coach and how to coach orienteering; practical self and peer evaluated exercises. \nPRE-REQUISITES: \nCompetent orienteers at least at TD3; age 16+ \nOTHER NOTES: \nThis course is a pre-requisite for the Level 1 Coach course; you might apply to go straight to Level 2 after this course. \nMORE DETAIL: \nBook online through the Google form link below or contact Suzanne Robins-Bird with any questions \n
