Scottish Orienteering League 6 - Forvie

The penultimate Scottish Orienteering League (SOL) event of 2017 was staged by Grampian Orienteers whose website is sub-titled "Take a Run on the Wild Side."  Forvie National Nature Reserve certainly lived up to this billing - in the pre-event information Gramp stated "It’s windswept, it’s wild, it’s wonderful (in our not-so-humble opinion but we’re sure you’ll agree)".  Hurricane Ophelia was somewhere out to…

Because of the Easter holiday weekend and with the kind cooperation of Stirling Surveys, the closing date for entries in the third CompassPoint Scottish Orienteering League 2017 event has been extended until midnight on Monday 17th April. Enter at SiEntries.

SOL Competition rules and guidelines

The Scottish Orienteering League provides a series of high quality events; throughout Scotland throughout the season. High quality venues, maps and quality courses are the key aims.
Updated Apr 2017 to clarify that entries are course-based rather than class-based (Guideline 3).

Double Dukes Weekend

SOL 2, Compass Point Scottish O League

A weekend of top quality Orienteering in two of the country’s best areas, either side of the Dukes Pass in the Trossachs National Park. There was a middle race on the Saturday on a new map of South Achray, with indoor assembly. On Sunday was SOL 2 held on the magnificent Trossachs.
