John Muir Country Park, known to many as Hedderwick Hill is a small-but-perfectly-formed area of two halves: open pine forest together with a strip of subtly contoured sand-dunes, and the latter will surely test navigational skills of all competitors.

Broxburn, meanwhile, is an ex-mining village turned commuter-town, with many new housing estates surrounding an older centre, and with the Union Canal running through the middle.  Used successfully for the first time last year, this year's event will use predominantly new parts of the much large map.

Entries are now open on Fabian4 , with a closing date of Sunday 27th January.
