Scottish O League 2012

The trophies for 2012 will be presented at an event in the early part of 2013 - to be advertised on the SOA website in due course. 

At the end of another SOL series, some statistics for the year are:

841 runners completed at least one SOL (916 in 2011)

1 610 476 SOL points were scored (1 995 247 in 2011)

For the Age Classes (including B and S classes), the winners came from the following clubs:

ESOC 8; CLYDE/FVO 6; GRAMP/INVOC/MAROC 5; ECKO 4; BASOC/INT/MOR/STAG 3; TAY/TINTO 2; AYROC 1

The top 10 clubs with the most runners (Age classes) are:
MAROC 80 (2011 119); FVO 74 (71); ESOC 66 (76); GRAMP 65 (89); INT 51 (67); INVOC 50 (85); ECKO 45 (43); CLYDE 33 (33); MOR 33 (54); SOLWAY 24 (9)

The top 10 in terms of average points/runner are (number of runners in brackets):

STAG 3925 (5); ELO 3644 (3); FERMO 3473 (1); CLYDE (33) 2966; ECKO (45) 2905; TINTO (7) 2697; WAROC (1) 2555; MAROC (80) 2488; BASOC (15) 2437; FVO (74) 2311

20 runners scored points in all 7 SOLs on the same course - the runner with the best worst score amongst these is Callum White (INVOC) with a worst score of 1226.

Finally, the closest winning margin (age classes) is M45L where Rupert Parkinson (FVO) scored a 1 point win over Steve Wilson (CLYDE). This is roughly equivalent to 4 seconds difference over the year!
