Scolty Mountain Bike O event
Monday sees the focus move down the glen to Banchory with, in the morning , a Mountain Bike event on the huge Scolty/Shooting Greens MTBO map, 13km2 of plantation forest where a large network of forest roads and many smaller single track bike trails will offer devious route choices and furious pedalling!
Bikes can be hired from Ballater by e-mailing Dan Whitehead at: bellapads@hotmail.co.uk Hybrid or mountain bikes are available. All bikes are under 6 months old, replaced after 20 hires and price of £16 for the day includes transportation, helmet, any tools required and the bike.
Bikes can be collected from Ballater or else transported to the event (no extra charge).

The 2015 World Orienteering Championships will be based in Inverness, Scotland during August, and will utilise the world class terrain along the Moray coast and in the Cairngorms National Park. The Scottish 6 Days will run in parallel to the Championships and will bring 5000 competitors to the area boosting the local economy by an estimated £2 million.
