SOL 1, Torinturk West, March 18

EckO hosted the first Scottish Orienteering League event of the year. Using the western part of the Torinturk map, which many of those who ran at the 6Days did not visit.

CLYDE hosted an event on Saturday 17th at the nearby Coille Nathais, results published on the CLYDE website

Mostly an open runnable hillside with intricate boulder and crag detail. Bracken is well rotted and vegetation is mostly short grazed so very runnable.

There is an area of open mixed mature birch/pine scattered woodland on the side of Glen Lonan that all TD4/5 courses venture into. Minimal fence crossing involved. White/Yellow mostly follow tracks or powerlines.
