Scottish Orienteering Championships 2012
Thanks to Maroc and Gramp for staging the excellent Jubilee 5 extended weekend incoporating the Scottish Championship and Scottish Relay Championship.
4 races plus an informal MTBO event over 4 days of the jubilee weekend sent the vast majority of competitors home tired but happy.
Congratulations to all new champions, and especially to Cat Taylor (W21E) and Scott Fraser (M21E) both of whom will be heading to Switzerland this summer for the World Championships, confident of doing themselves justice following a string of good results. Results on Jubilee 5 website
The Scottish relay championship held on Sunday 3rd at Creag Choinnich had some close head to head racing on well gaffled courses with Interlopers Team Compasspoint and EUOC Myths coming out on top in the Men's and Women's Open respectively. Results on the Gramp website
The Sprint and middle races held on Monday and Tuesday doubleed as selection races for WOC 2012, ensuring some highly competitive racing with top class fields.
