Scottish O League 2, change of date/location
The date has changed to 26th April, and will now be on Ardnaskie (Part of Airds Park).
I apologize for the late change but several things happened that caused us to make these changes late in the day.
See below for the list of reasons.
The sheep farmers on Kerrera who had been very agreeable when we checked access started to get a bit more restrictive on where we could go when the planning started (it’s lambing time).
So we had to start a search for an alternative area with quality required and no sheep.
Ardnaskie was our only option, but the map is not up to date due to big changes in vegetation, so we needed to see if we could get Stirling Surveys to update it in time.
Then we were told that ScotJos would be going to the Triple O Severn weekend / FCC final that was the same weekend and that the SEDS might be going as well (as Graeme mentions in his comment it is the British Elite Champs as well). This would have had a significant impact on our entries and disappointment for the competitors that would miss a SOL event.
Then to get new access permissions sorted and permission to change the date from Fixtures all took time.
When we started the process to change the date to the 26th April there was not a single registered event in Scotland for that weekend.
We will have a local event at Inverawe on the Saturday and possibly an Oban street O that evening. So hopefully that will make it worth the travelling.

Graeme Ackland says:
Shame to lose the chance to go to Kerrera again, but as the old date clashed with the British Elite Championships the switch is welcome!
