Junior Inter Area Competition
The Scottish Junior Inter-area Championships consists of a relay event and an individual event between the East, North and West areas of Scotland. This year the relay event was held on 6 June 2009 at Vogrie and the individual event was held in conjunction with SOL3 at Teviothead. The overall weekend was organised by the East area and overnight accommodation was arranged at Melrose Youth Hostel. Around 70 juniors took part in the competition
After the relay event the North was in the lead with 76 points over 52 points to the East and 40 points to the West. In the individual event the North was again in the lead with74 points compared to 45 points for the West and 44 to the East. As a result the Scottish Junior Inter-area Championship trophy was retained for another year by the North area with a total score of 150 points, well in the lead over East, 96 points, and West, 85 points.
