EUOC Burns Weekend 30th-31st January

Fancy a weekend of racing around Edinburgh’s famous landmarks? How about ceilidh dancing the night away along with Burn’s night celebrations? Then get yourselves along to our Burns Weekend on the 30th and 31st January 2010 for a weekend of orienteering with EUOC and JOK.

JOK Chasing Sprint results

Saturday sees an exciting sprint, which is part of the urban league, around the streets and closes of our historic city. The map is the latest 2010 edition of the continuously updated Edinburgh Central Map (Mark Nixon and Graeme Ackland). 1:5000. There’s a long and a short course offer, along with a short children’s course.
To make a full weekend of it, there will be a ceilidh held on the Saturday night with live music and a bar. Not to be missed, what better way is there to enjoy the evening separating the races! There will also be some Burn’s night related themes including poems, piping, haggis etc. Tickets are available via Oentries and on the night on the door.
Sunday brings the JOK Chasing Sprint - this will be held on Holyrood Park, otherwise known as Arthur’s Seat, located right in the centre of Edinburgh. The area includes intricate contours, along with the open hilltops and spectacular views over Edinburgh.
All locations are fully accessible by public transport so everyone can come!
