INVOC invited you to Battan, Foxhole (nr Kiltarlity, west of Inverness) for SOL3. Battan is a classic highland forest offering excellent orienteering in a beautiful location. The provisional results are now on the INVOC website.

Solway hosted this at Dalbeattie Town Wood on the last Saturday of school holidays for many people. 250 runners enjoyed the challenging courses in a more pleasant forest than I remember under blue skies.

EckO hosted the first Scottish Orienteering League event of the year. Using the western part of the Torinturk map, which many of those who ran at the 6Days did not visit.

GRAMP hosted these at Glen Dye on Saturday 25th Feb.
Glen Dye is a superb area, mostly open and runnable and full of tricky contour and rock detail.

Clyde organised this at Muirshiel Country Park nr. Lochwinnoch.
This was a new map, mixed woodland and paths around the Visitors Centre surrounded by open moorland with some areas of intricate contour detail.

Edinburgh University would like to welcome you to their Big Weekend 2012. This year followed in the footsteps of the previous Big Weekends success. A city race on Saturday, a Ceilidh celebrating Burn’s night on Saturday night and finishing with an event on Arthur’s Seat on Sunday.
