We are saddened to have to report the death of Dave Prentice, long-time member of TAY.  Dave died while hiking in Uganda, after suffering breathing difficulties.  Dave will be missed for everything he brought to orienteering, his enthusiasm and ideas, his contribution to mapping as well as his long-term involvement with schools.

Scottish Orienteering WOC 2015 Elite Fund

Reopens

SOA are pleased to announce the reopening of the Scottish Orienteering WOC 2015 Elite Fund. This year’s fund will again help Scottish athletes in their goal of WOC 2015 selection and will be primarily used for supporting an athlete’s own programme for the next 6 months leading up to WOC 2015.

Representing GB in World Cup Round One

BASOC members, Jess & James Tullie & Ewan McCarthy were competing for Britain in the first 3 World Cup races of 2015 all the way down under in Tasmania. You can read the full report is on the BASOC website.
Jess had a confidence boosting 16th place in her first World Cup Race, and is featured on the WOC2015 website.

The ESOC Sprint-O is a two-race competition. Time from the first race, the Prologue, determines the starting position for the second race, the Chase. The first past the post in the Chase wins the competition. SOUL points will be based on both races. More details on the ESOC website.
