As previously notified in “Score”, the SOA AGM will be held on Saturday 2nd June to coincide with the Scottish Championships in Braemar. Copy of the booklet for the AGM is now available for download. Hard copy will be sent out shortly with SCORE.

Entries for the public events at WTOC remain open at OEntries until next Sunday (May 27). There will be four events – TempO at Camperdown Park in Dundee (TempO is the ‘sprint equivalent of TrailO, with all controls timed) followed by three at Tentsmuir – a model and two TrailO competitions. The final day will give everyone a chance to try the WTOC course. More details on the WTOC website. There will be only limited EOD.

Final preparations are underway for WTOC (6-9 June). More volunteers are still needed to help on the last day of the event (Saturday 9 June) at Tentsmuir, in a variety of roles – TrailO experience not needed.

The 2011 Agreement Between the Scottish Orienteering Association and the Capercaillie Biodiversity Action Plan Steering Group on the Use of Forests for Orienteering Competitions and Training where Capercaillie are Present has lapsed and will be reviewed in Autumn 2012.

INVOC invited you to Battan, Foxhole (nr Kiltarlity, west of Inverness) for SOL3. Battan is a classic highland forest offering excellent orienteering in a beautiful location. The provisional results are now on the INVOC website.

MTBO at Scolty - route choice galore, with going ranging from forest roads to technical single track.

Middle Race at Inchmarnoch - lovely morain terrain, fast and runnable.
Campsite at Braemar Games field with on-site showers.

The Oban 2011 event is in the final three for the Best Sporting Event Award in the Central South West Regional finals of the Scottish Thistle Awards.
Winners will be announced on 23rd May at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow and will be shortlisted for the national finals in November.
