Second Place for Scott in Portugal
Scott sealed a great weekend of racing in Portugal with 24th place in Tuesday’s middle distance, the final race of this years Portugal O-Meet.
While 24th may have been disappointing by Scott’s high standards it was good enough to secure him second place overall against a truly world class field. To win overall he needed to finish ahead of Italy’s Mikhail Mamleev in the final race, but the former Russian was too strong and finished 1:25 quicker than Scott.
Former WOC medallist Jon Musgrave was impressed with Scott’s result against such a competitive field: “What a field to beat - better than any I ever remember at POM. Congratulations to Scotia.”
Other SEDS results:
60. Doug Tullie
91. Ant Squire
132. Mark Nixon (only three days completed).
