Scottish Sports Aid Awards for 2014

In the first round of awards for 2014, the following juniors have been awarded grants of £1000 from the Robertson Trust to help them meet their training and competition costs for the coming year.
Alexander Chepelin (M18, GRAMP)
Rhona McMillan (W20, MAROC, ShUOC)
Jennifer Ricketts (W18, MAROC)

These athletes all represented Great Britain in the European Youth Championships in 2013 and are all members of the GB Talent Squad.

The Robertson Trust is a charity which was established in 1961 by three sisters, Elspeth, Agnes and Ethel Robertson, who are all now deceased. They donated their shares in the family business, founded in the 1850’s by their grandfather William Robertson, to the Trust for charitable purposes. It is through the foresight of these three sisters, and the continuing hard work and generosity of the present Trustees, that Scottish Sports Aid are able to provide this bursary to you. The Robertson Trust is based in Glasgow, and more details of the Trust can be obtained from the Trust’s website at www.therobertsontrust.org.uk. Past recipients of bursaries from The Robertson Trust include Sir Chris Hoy, Katherine Grainger and Nicole Arthur, the former water ski slalom world champion and many other highly talented Olympic medallists and athletes from many different sports. These young orienteers have now joined this exclusive roll of honour.
