Perth Centre – Park World Tour Final and Open race

Photo of Per ForsbergThis event will attempt to use some of the latest orienteering technology, not just for the elites but also for the Open race which includes the veteran and junior classes. Per Forsberg will be in attendance commenting using radio controls as well as TV controls.

Photo of large screenThere will be a large TV screen filming footage from the remote TV control as well as the start and finishes. This footage will be used post event to make a PWT, Perth DVD which will include footage from both the Elite classes and Open race. A ‘lightgate’ will be used to record times to 1/10th of a second so we expect no ‘draws’!

Photo of the stageThe Finish area will be on an erected stage just outside the Perth concert hall.

Music will be playing throughout the qualification and final adding to the entertaining atmosphere of this PWT orienteering experience.

Punching System

In all the PWT a SportIdent punching system will be used.  For the PWT Final, there will be a light gate at the start and finish to record times to a tenth of a second.
