Teaching Orienteering courses

The Teaching Orienteering courses (part 1 and part 2) provide excellent training for anyone wishing to introduce the sport in schools, scouts or other youth groups.  We have now put together a schedule to run these courses throughout Scotland and a printable publicity leaflet.  Where possible, dates will fit in with known In-Service days.

Both Teaching Orienteering courses last one day, and make excellent CPD.  The Part 1 course assumes no prior knowledge and will enable participants to introduce orienteering in an enjoyable and rewarding way.  Part 2 covers some more advanced techniques and is generally more relevant to secondary schools.  Attendance at Part 1 is a pre-requisite of Part 2.
The standard fees are £75 for Part 1 and £95 for Part 2, though reductions are available for organisations booking more than 4 places and providing teaching space for the course.
More detail about the courses is available on the printable leaflet, and provisional dates are on the printable schedule.  As venues and dates are finalised, this printable schedule will be updated, and they will be added to the general online course schedule.
