Anne Hickling (GRAMP) was awarded the President’s medal by SOA President Roger Scrutton at the AGM on Saturday 25 May, following a fantastic day’s orienteering in beautiful sunny weather at the Scottish Orienteering Championships at Loch Doon, Ayrshire.

Patrons of Scottish Orienteering

Scottish Orienteering are delighted to announce that three very high calibre individuals have agreed to become Patrons of Scottish Orienteering.
Jamie Stevenson: Former elite orienteer and double world gold medallist.
Karen Darke: London 2012 Paralympic handcycling silver medallist and Trail orienteer.
Cameron McNeish: Mountaineer, walker, author, broadcaster and editor.

Caroline Smillie 1932 - 2013

Caroline Smillie died in Stirling Community hospital on Thursday 2nd May 2013 aged 81 years. Caroline had suffered a series of strokes since last Christmas. Caroline was one of the early stalwarts of FVO and continued as a key club member for more than 30 years.

Moray 2013, Scottish 6 Days

The next deadline for reduced entry fees is 30th April, so if you want to save some money you need to enter now!
Early entry helps organisers considerably, there are many things that are dependent on the number of people entered. The sooner they know the numbers, the less waste or shortfall on resources.
