SOL 1, Torinturk West, March 18

EckO hosted the first Scottish Orienteering League event of the year. Using the western part of the Torinturk map, which many of those who ran at the 6Days did not visit.

Technology Workshop Tuesday 6 March

The SOA will be running a technology workshop/discussion forum on the evening of Tuesday 6 March, 2012.  This will be held at Ted Finch’s house starting at 1800 hrs;  if you need directions please contact Colin Matheson.  The aim of the session is to better understand the challenges of bringing together different technologies at major orienteering events.

Job Description Templates

In order to determine which roles require the post-holder (whether paid or a volunteer) to be a member of the PVG Scheme, a job description must be available for each post, and supplied to each post-holder.  These templates have been approved by CRBS and must be supplied to each post-holder.

British Orienteering have issued their proposals for a revised membership and levies model. I would like to urge all Scottish members and clubs to read them and provide feedback to BOF on these proposals.

Scottish Night Champs 2012

GRAMP hosted these at Glen Dye on Saturday 25th Feb.
Glen Dye is a superb area, mostly open and runnable and full of tricky contour and rock detail.
Results on the GRAMP website
The trophies for womens open, mens open, M40, M45+ and M16 were not returned to the event, if anyone knows where they are, pass them onto the winner.
