Orienteering on BBC Adventure Show

Lorna Eades and Paul McGreal recently filmed a WOC2015 promotional item for broadcast on the BBC2 Adventure Show. It’s intended to be an introduction to the sport for the public. The presenters (Dougie Vipond and Deziree Wilson) ran a short course, and were carrying trackers.

Moray 2013 nominated for award

2014 Scottish Event Awards

The 2013 Scottish 6 Day Event, Moray2013, has been nominated as a finalist in the Sports category of the 2014 Scottish Event Awards. The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony in Glasgow on October 8th.

A recent publication from Glasgow City Council gives sports clubs advice on how to take advantage of the expected surge in interest in sport during and after the 2014 Commonwealth Games.  The lessons are of course highly relevant to orienteering clubs and WOC 2015, so we have produced a simpler document to meet this specific aim.
