Details of the resources available from the National Orienteering Centre, and a link to our price list.
You can either view a location map or go to the list of all the areas available through the National Orienteering Centre. There is sure to be an area available to suit any level of ability and every need possible. From very technical complex areas to test the best orienteer, to more straight forward areas to teach, learn or progress orienteering skills. Click on an area for more information.
Despite the new land access agreement in Scotland landowners still need to be advised on orienteering activity. This must be sent via the National Orienteering Centre before any orienteering activity can go ahead on any of these areas. Please allow 4-6 weeks to arrange for permission/access in order for you to use the areas available. Please be aware that some areas have restricted access at various times of the year. We are constantly adding the areas available and as new maps come on stream they will be added.
The National Orienteering Centre no longer keep blank map stocks as was done previously. We now get maps on order printed from Stirling Surveys. Their printing is top quality and the order turn-around time is very quick however if you would like to order any blank maps we recommend that you place your order through the National Centre at least 2 weeks before you need them. Orders must be placed through the National Orienteering Centre not Stirling Surveys.
If you wish to use OCAD files of the available areas for your training or events then you need to request an Scottish Orienteering Association OCAD agreement form. This is signed by both us and you and allows us to release the file. After the event/training has taken place you will be invoiced according to how many people take part and the OCAD file issued must be deleted. You must request a new OCAD agreement form each time you wish to use an OCAD file. OCAD agreement form
