Controls are now out in two delightful woodland areas: Littlemill, not terribly far from Inverness, and Glen Gynack, near Kingussie.
Littlemill has quite subtle contours and a nice variety of trees and wildlife. Steve Smirthwaite is our guest planner for this, and has even given you the added bonus of pin-punches (remember them???) at the controls.
Glen Gynack has more climb and lots of path and contour detail, just on the edge of Kingussie so conveniently close to the A9. Thanks to BASOC for making it available.
You can read more about the areas and view a larger version of the map images on the mapped areas page (to be updated soon!).
Each map pack comprises a pre-printed map (on Pretex), control descriptions (pictorial) and an information sheet. The information sheet includes a particular training activity that we recommend.
Packs are available from Glenmore Lodge reception or we can post one out to you, simply contact the National O Centre.
Packs are £3 each. Please add 70p towards postage for one pack, £1.20 for 2-5 packs, £1.70 for 5-10 packs.
You can also join our new subscription scheme - just send a cheque for £37 and we’ll send you maps for the next 10 months.
