The Future Champions Cup (FCC) is a competition for the top British M/W 18’s and 20’s.
This year 11 Scottish juniors have qualified for the final being held in Yorkshire.
It consists of a series of races, this year there are 7 in total, for which points are awarded with the best 3 results in the series to count. The top 15 in each of the 4 classes qualify for the FCC final, which this year is being held in Yorkshire over the first weekend in May. On Saturday there will be a middle distance race in Gilling Woods, near Helmsley, with a long race on Sunday at Cawthorne and Keldy, near Pickering.
(Doug and Hollie have both qualified in 1st place in their class with maximum points)
The results of this competition will be used for selecting the GB team for the Junior World Championships (this year to be held in Sweden at the beginning of July).
Point scores for the FCC series can be found at http://www.pgopage.btinternet.co.uk/id18.htm
