WANTED — Controllers of all Grades

If you are an enthusiastic orienteer and want to improve your skills, have you considered becoming a controller? Even though you may not be a super-fast competitor, controlling provides an excellent opportunity for sharpening up your map interpretation and navigational skills.

To apply to become a Grade 3 controller, you must have planned 3 events (with at least one at Level 4), have organised a competition on the BOF Fixture List and have attended a Grade 3 Controllers’ Course. Courses can be held near you and need not cost your club anything.

There is a particular shortage of Grade 1 and 2 controllers so if you are already an experienced Grade 2 or Grade 3 controller, please consider upgrading to the next level.
