Scottish weekend of Mountain Bike Orienteering
The British Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships are being held at Dalbeattie (Long distance) on 28th June and Mabie (Middle distance) on 29th June.
Two brand new areas to MTBO with a full range of ridability and navigational challenges. Open to everyone.
Part of the Forestry Commission’s 7 stanes forests, Dalbeattie and Mabie are two forests that boast a combination of purpose-built MTB trails and cross country routes as well as the usual forest tracks, paths and rides.
1:15000 and 1:10000 brand new MTBO maps, contour interval 5m, showing the ridability of the paths based on the width and solidness of the line.
3 courses available each day.
