Scottish O League 2008

735 competitors scored SOL points in 2008 (including double-counting of those who ran in more than one class during the year). The most successful club overall are GRAMP with 8 class winners, followed by FVO (6) and MAROC/AYROC both with 5. MAROC were the most successful junior club, winning 4 classes and providing more junior runners than any other club. Congratulations to those scoring a perfect 4000 (Alexander Chepelin JM4; Alan Cherry JM5L; Ben Hartman M35L; Steve Barrett M45L; Dave Armitage M55L; Dougie Condy M55S; Neil McLean M65L; Drew Sommerville M75S; Kate Robertson W21S; Beccy Osborn W35L; Denise Wright W40S; Margaret Dalgleish W55L; Hilary Scott W55S; Norma Coutts, W65L; Barbara Plant W70L). MAROC filled the first 3 places (and 7 out of the first 9) in JW3, but that is bettered by the FVO W35L team who occupied places 1-4.
With the change in event structure for 2009, the scoring system for SOLs is being reviewed. For interest, a new table of results based on courses rather than classes and using the 6-Day scoring system is being produced and will be published here soon.
