Scott Fraser has just been appointed as our new SOA Professional Officer. Our recent advert attracted applicants from several adventure, racquet and ball sports - competitors, officials and administrators. However, we were delighted to be able to appoint Scott as our new Professional Officer.
Scott is a current member of the British Squad and brings a wide experience of orienteering at major events – having competed in over 20 countries, including the last 5 World Championships. Scott has a Sports Science degree and has had various coaching and Junior Development roles – with ESOA, Midlothian District Council and ScotJOS. Scott’s main role will be working with the Major Events – most significantly the Scottish 6 Days, but he will also attract and guide other major events in Scotland. Please join me in welcoming Scott to his new role.
