JIRCs 2008
Scotland were runners-up in the Junior Inter-Regionals held last weekend in North Yorkshire. They were beaten into second place in a very close contest (482 points to 473) by a strong team from North-West.
Yorkshire came 3rd with 415 points. The Scottish girls won the Women’s Trophy for the 3rd successive year, with Scottish teams coming 3rd, 5th and 6th in the women’s relays. The Scottish boys team came 2nd, helped by a win for Jamie Stevenson, Craig Thomson and Alasdair McLeod in the men’s relays. In the Individual competition, prizes were won by Jamie Stevenson (1st, M16), Jo Shepherd (2nd W16) and Katrina McLeod (3rd, W14).
