Scottish Score Orienteering Championships rules and guidelines

Purpose

The Scottish Score Championships provides good quality age-based competition with the score format. The event will normally take place at the end of the year, the score format meaning that competitors spend a well defined time in the forest.  The event may be combined with the Scottish Inter-Club Championships.

SOL Competition rules and guidelines

The Scottish Orienteering League provides a series of high quality events throughout Scotland throughout the season. High quality venues, maps and quality courses are the key aims. Other key objectives include: elite development and selection, encourage national level competition, act as a flagship and publicity vehicle, to create continuity of quality, and coordinate with other high-quality BOF events.

Scottish Inter-club championships (SICC), rules and guidelines

Purpose

The SICC provides an opportunity for all club members to represent their club in low-key competition with other clubs of a similar size. Set up as a Scottish Inter-Club Knock out, it was intended to compliment the Scottish heat of the CompassSport cup, and should be kept distinct from it. It will now normally be a single day competition, incorporated with another event, such as the Scottish Score Championships.

11 Person relay rules and guidelines

Purpose

The eleven person relay is intended to provide a low-key, mass participation relay competition between Scottish clubs during the summer months (April-September).
