Regular Orienteering Map Programme

With help from my young apprentice, I’ve put controls out in Inshriach North, and they’ll stay there until mid-August.

Controls are also out in the nicest parts of Uath Lochan, and will remain there until late July.

Printing continues to present problems so please be patient and give as much notice as possible of your requirements.

We’re using just the northern part of the Uath Lochan map, with the focus on route choice and lots of long legs.  Some of the control sites aren’t TD5, their purpose is to make you consider the options on how to get there.  Packs will be in the post to subscribers on Saturday 9 May (and taken to MOR event on Sunday).  Packs can be collected from Insh, by arrangement (including this weekend) - phone the office and get my mobile number from the answering machine.

Each ROMP map pack comprises a pre-printed map (on waterproof paper), control descriptions (pictorial) and an information sheet.  The information sheet includes a particular training activity that we recommend.

Packs are available from Glenmore Lodge reception or you can arrange to collect them from Insh.  Alternatively, we can post one out to you, simply contact the National O Centre.
Packs are £3 each.  Please add 70p towards postage for one pack, £1.20 for 2-5 packs, £1.70 for 6-10 packs.

You can also join our subscription scheme - just send a cheque for £37 (inc. postage) and we’ll send you the next 10 ROMP packs.

Every month we offer free training or 1-to-1 coaching in return for help with carrying controls.  Please contact the National O Centre if you’d like to take up this offer.
